We’re Writing a Story – Add Your Sentence

(A Nehemiah Moment for a New Generation)

For over 35 years, God has been writing a beautiful story through Kut Church—
A story of lives changed, communities formed, and the Gospel spreading from Istanbul to the nations.

From this church:

* A Turkish-speaking congregation was born,
* Many came to faith and were baptized,
* Leaders were trained and sent out,
* New churches were planted,
* And the light of Christ continued to shine—even without a building to call our own.

This has never been a story about comfort or walls.
It’s a story about God’s work among His people.
And now, as in the days of Nehemiah, we find ourselves at a holy crossroads.

🧱 Like Nehemiah, We Are Building – But the Story Is Bigger Than Stones

Nehemiah was called to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem.
The walls were important—yes. They were protection, identity, dignity.
But the story wasn’t about walls.

It was about God gathering His people again.
About restoring worship.
About honoring His name among the nations.

Today, we sense that same call.
After decades of faithfulness in temporary spaces, we are preparing to build a permanent church home—
Not to begin a new story,
But to honor and continue the one God has already written.

This building is not the goal.
God’s glory is.
The building is just the next step in the mission.

🏛️ A New Chapter in a Historic Place

Kadıköy—ancient Chalcedon—is one of the most historic locations in Christian history.
Today, it’s the heart of a modern global city.
And we believe God is placing us here, with vision and purpose.

We dream of:

* A space where 1,000 people can gather to worship,
* A center where young leaders are trained,
* A home for outreach, creativity, teaching, and mercy ministries,
* A visible and lasting presence of the Gospel in Istanbul.

Our current space is no longer safe or sufficient.
This next step is not about luxury. It’s about faithfulness.

🤝 Add Your Sentence to the Story

When Nehemiah began to build, he didn’t do it alone.
Every person, every family, took part.
Together, they rebuilt—not just a wall, but a future.

We believe the same is true today.

God has already done great things through this church.
But now we are being invited into a new chapter—
And we need many hands to write it.

💬 “We’re writing a story—add your sentence.”
Your prayer. Your gift. Your encouragement. Your voice.
They are all part of something bigger than a building.
They are part of what God is doing in our generation.

Let’s build together—not just for today,
But for the generations who will one day walk through those doors,
Hear the Gospel, and write their own sentences of faith.

Why This Project Matters

For more than three decades, the church has continued its ministry through rented and temporary spaces. God has used these places, but the needs of the community have grown, and the limitations have become increasingly clear.

A permanent church home would provide more than a meeting place. It would create the safety, stability and freedom needed to serve people faithfully, strengthen the community and prepare for the generations to come.

Safety

Our current space is no longer able to provide the level of structural security and long-term confidence that a growing church community needs.

We are seeking a safe and dependable place where children, families, visitors and church members can gather with greater peace of mind.

Permanence

Temporary and rented spaces make long-term ministry difficult. Changing conditions, rising costs and limited control over the property can affect worship, training and community life.

A permanent home would allow the church to plan responsibly, invest wisely and continue its mission without constant uncertainty.

Capacity

The present space is not sufficient for the growing needs of the church. Worship gatherings, children’s ministry, leadership training, prayer meetings and community activities all require suitable and flexible areas.

A larger and more adaptable property would allow more people to gather, learn, serve and build meaningful relationships.

Ministry

The vision extends far beyond Sunday services. We are praying for a place that can support biblical teaching, discipleship, prayer, outreach, hospitality, creative ministry and the training of future leaders.

The right space would help these ministries grow stronger and serve more people throughout the week.

A Visible Christian Presence

Historic Chalcedon holds an important place in Christian history. Today, it stands within one of the world’s largest and most influential cities.

A permanent church home would offer a visible, living and welcoming Christian presence—not simply as a monument to the past, but as an active community serving people today.

Legacy

This project is not only about the needs of the present congregation. It is about creating something that can continue to serve long after us.

We hope to establish a home where future generations can hear the Gospel, grow in faith, discover their calling and carry the message of Christ into the city and the nations.

We are not building for comfort. We are building for faithfulness, mission and the generations to come.
